Technical translation guidelines

1- Avoid using Google Translate as the error rate is relatively high.

2- words in red color, words start with capital letter, brand names, trademark, software names, file extensions…etc should be transliterated (keep them in English).

3- Double check the numbers. (Extremely important)

4- Using Google Image search is very useful.

5- Refer to the main text if needed.

6- make sure the translated text sounds natural.

7- use instructive language.

8- use the same symbols that are used in English. For example, don’t use “-” instead of “_”.

9- White seg.: Translate / Orange and Green seg.: Proofread and modify

10- this project if for a Korean partner company. The English files they send are a translation for Korean. Sometimes, the English text doesn’t read well. In other times, you feel that you don’t understand :)

Anyway, in these cases, try to get the meaning from the context. If you couldn’t understand the meaning any way please contact us.

11- (for Arabic) avoid the English style in your translation. For example,
